OUR VISION is a world in which all persons affected by Alzheimer’s disease have the services that they need.

OUR MISSION is to provide the information and support needed so that all Arkansans affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias are able to live with dignity and comfort until a cure is found.

How it began: This idea was manifested by a desire to honor my 94-year old grandmother, Virginia “Ninnie” Steinbeck.

Here we are in a picture taken a couple of years ago in her room at the nursing home. Since this picture was taken, she has continued to struggle with remembering who we are at times, where she is, why she cannot get her brain to work, why the words she wants to express just don’t come out, thinking she’s going somewhere so she packs up everything, and gets frustrated when we can’t tell her “why.”
