Tips for Successful Fundraising

When you participate in The Alzheimer’s Arkansas Walks you …..

• Show support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s in your community
   
• Partner with the # 1 organization in Arkansas providing information and support to Arkansans affected by Alzheimer’s
   
• Team Captains – Set the tone for your team, make your contribution first
   
• Ask friends and family members to sponsor you for a specific amount
   
• Invite businesses you frequent to help out by placing a jar on their counter for donations to the Alzheimer’s Arkansas Walk in you community
   
• Organize a garage sale like Granny’s Gang in Hot Springs, or a bake sale like Father Elser’s team in Fairfield Bay
   
• Make phone calls or send e-mail out your friends, family and co-workers
   
• Inquire about matching funds from your employer
   
• Give up a “vice” for a week
   
• Ask people to donate to The Alzheimer’s Arkansas Walk instead of buying you a gift or dinner out
   
• Host a fundraising party
   
• Have a car wash or raffle and donate proceeds to The Alzheimer’s Arkansas Walk
   
• Brown bag your lunch instead of eating out.
   
• In lieu of a special gift, ask people to donate to The Alzheimer’s Arkansas Walk
   
• Sell “Casual Friday” stickers, and donate the proceeds to The Alzheimer’s Arkansas Walk.
